Companies like Qualcomm usually announce one flagship chipset for smartphones launching in the earlier part of the year, and the company then follows up with a slightly upgraded model for devices launching in the later part of the year. MediaTek has always been in the shadow of Qualcomm when it comes to flagship smartphones. However, the company has been taking on the Snapdragon chip maker in the premium segment with its Dimensity series of SoCs. Now, MediaTek just announced its new Dimensity 9000+ flagship SoC.
