    The boys at Google Allo are still putting in work and after adding moderation controls and an improved selfie cam last month , the messaging app is back with a new set of tricks.
    Rolling out starting today, Allo v25 is bringing the ability to transcribe audio messages to text. You'll have to enable it inside your chat settings and while it doesn't work all the time, we're sure the service will be improved as time moves on. Just being able to visually read an audio message in a quite place or when in public wins major points in our book.

    Google's Chrome OS version 63 is beginning to roll out to some Chromebooks , according to users who started reporting the update as early as December 14. Via the source, which follows a thread posted to Google Plus, some of the devices to have already seen the update include the HP 14 Chromebook, Toshiba Chromebook 2, and the 2013 model of Google's own Chromebook Pixel. As with other rollouts, this update will likely be coming to other Chromebooks as well over the coming days and weeks, with some taking longer depending on the device's manufacturer.

    Google might be adding threaded conversations to Allo in a future app update according to pieces of code found in the APK for the most recent version of the application, which is currently version 25. While there is evidence of this potentially showing up in a future version of Allo there is no guarantee just yet that threaded conversations will actually be implemented.
